Carton exists at the intersection between the real and virtual world; by moving bits and bytes in the virtual world, Carton manages physical boxes in the real world. Once we see this connection, we realize the parallel that exists between the hard disk and the carton, the hard disk is a store for virtual items while the carton is a store for physical items.
